Yuko Takasugi (b. 1964) graduated from Kyoto University of the Arts Correspondence Education (Ceramics Course) in 2005. While working, she simultaneously pursued her studies and gained experience as a potter in a rural kiln. Later, after relocating to an urban area, she became captivated by the fascinating nature of Neriage techniques and porcelain delicacy, leading her to create Neriage ceramics continuously.

Her primary inspirations revolve around Japan's plants, coastal landscapes, and customs; recently, she has also drawn inspiration from imaginative paintings as a source for her designs. Through her hand-built ceramics, she aims to bring joy and delight to the users while expressing fragments of "emotions" and "memories" discovered in her surroundings. This represents her profound passion for life and her unwavering dedication to the art of pottery.
