In early summer, Touch Ceramics sincerely brings everyone the "Euphoria on tablescapes" breaking away from the previous curatorial approach of focusing on ceramic artists and returning to our original intention, which is the relationship between ceramics and life.
Home is not only a place for daily life but also the birthplace of all inspiration. Delicate tea sets are indispensable for daily tea brewing, and dining tables Necessarily feature tableware from different ceramic artists. Renowned Japanese gourmet artist Kitaōji Rosanjin once said, "Utensils are the clothing of cuisine," introducing aesthetic consciousness into dining and creating a beautiful presentation of cuisine through the combination of cooking and tableware. The relationship between people and utensils is very intimate, and we experience joy through touching and using these objects. Tableware is the outer garment of cuisine, adding an artistic touch to our dining table.
This March, amidst the gentle breeze and the rejuvenation of all things, Touch Ceramics presents the "Euphoria on tablescapes" This exhibition invites Nine artists from Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan: Lau Yat Wai, Aiko Sato, Chie Tanaka, Kumiko Yada, Mika Sato, Rui Sasaki, Takeda Takae, Yukari Akiyama, and Liu Jung Hui. They each express their imagination and expectations for ceramics and home, creating ceramic artworks that embody practical functionality, amusement, liveliness, appreciation, and collectibility. This exhibition aims to allow us to experience the true essence of life aesthetics through the enjoyment of food and drink.
