ARTISTS / Dave Ho

Dave Ho Lok Chung born and based in Hong Kong. He is a full-time artist who specialises in sculpture. He got his bachelor’s degree majoring in painting at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University in 2013, and a master’s degree in Fine Art from Wimbledon College of Arts at the University of the Arts London in 2016. The main creative medium for his works is scrap wood and recycled materials. His creations have been exhibited in Hong Kong, England, Macau and Taiwan. The piece "The Moment Between Good And Evil" was permanently collected by Canazzaro Park in London.

 

Ho’s artistic style spans different genres and forms from fine art to folk art, and his works have been shown at art exhibitions and craft fairs. He brings arts to the community as a founder of the artirt-run carpenter group Chipgoodguy Studio and the first Hong Kong 3D puzzle speciality store OLO Puzzles HK. He is passionate in arts education, currently working as a tutor at Hong Kong Art School, several institutions and art spaces, promoting the craft of woodworking and the creative industries as a whole.
